What Is Endocrinology?

Endocrinology is a branch of medicine that deals with the endocrine system. The endocrine system is responsible for controlling the hormones in your body. An endocrinologist specializes in endocrinology and will diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions that affect the endocrine system, possibly including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, growth hormone deficiency, infertility, cholesterol problems, hypertension (high blood pressure), obesity, and more.
